Busy Bees!

Another shot of our current rockery residents. This is a pair of buffish mining bees (Andrena nigroaenia - originally misidentified as Andrena haemorrhoa) providing an ideal opportunity to tell the sexes apart. As well as being slightly smaller, the male (right) clearly has a thick ginger beard whilst the female has an orange pollen brush on her hind leg..
