Packing Heat

The Seattle Flickrites have a weekly challenge for a topic, and this week is 'Heat.' Many people will not remember that 'Heat' is a term used for a firearm, often called a 'Heater.' So, 'Packing Heat' means you would be carrying a concealed weapon.

My weapon of choice in this shoot was a Rock Island Armory Match Grade 1911-A1 semi-auto pistol. It carries 8 rounds in the magazine and 'one in the pipe.'

Strobist info:

YN560II at 1/8 power, in a softbox camera right, high up, angled down.

YN560II at 1/16th power, shoot through white umbrella, camera left, high up, angled down

YN560II at 1/8 or 1/16th power, behind subject, red gel pointed at the black background.

Triggered with Pixel Soldier.
