Kestrel Falco tinnunculus (M) - Leaving Its Perch (2 of 2 photos)
Telegraph wires whilst less aesthetically pleasing in a photograph, do provide a good vantage point for Kestrels. The countryside is as it is because of man's intervention. Reading recently of magpies and crows building their nests from anti bird spikes deployed on buildings to deter roosting birds prompted me to post these two Kestrels which I have seen fairly frequently on the same wire. I photographed both the male and female at different times.
