Financial History

This branch of Barclays Bank in Enfield was the first bank to offer an external cash point. The way it worked is that the bank gave you vouchers which had been encoded with your banking details. You then presented the voucher to the machine with your code number and the machine dispensed the value of that voucher normally £10.
