Owl nebula - M97
Owl Nebula (M97) in Ursa Major - Dual 7nm narrow-band (Optolong L-eXtreme filter) image, consisting 120 five minute exposures stacked in Deep Sky Stacker: a total of 10 hours of integrated data (H-alpha and OIII). Explore Scientific ED APO 152mm, f=1200mm, f/7.9 refractor telescope. Telescope was tracked on a Skywatcher EQ8-R-Pro Mount and guided using PHD2 software.
Also includes 30 Dark frames, 30 Flat frames and 30 Dark-Flat frames. Post processed in Photoshop. This planetary nebula is about 2600 light years from us and estimated to be about 8000 years old. It is the end of life for a low-to-medium mass star. Our Sun has a similar fate. Taken in bright Moon-light.
