Back in the mid 90's, the New England Central RR along with the Mass Central would operate a Santa Train on the first Saturday of December. Local businesses from the Palmer area would donate goodies and hot chocolate for the kids. The 1996 train operated with MCER former Alaska F 1508, and a NECR GP-38 on the north end.
