This project is based around Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs taking a section of the triangle and going into subsections with our own interpretations. I chose security with intention of making the images look like CCTV with high angles and other techniques. For most of it I spent hours in the dark in my apartment's kitchen watching the apartment building across the way capturing people doing whatever people do in their own space. I approached the project by considering it as what I have been calling 'Urban Wildlife' photography. I wanted to give this a comic book look, specifically with Frank Miller's Sin City in mind which explains the Harsh blown out whites, engulfed in black.
