Sunflowers, 1985
Printed in the "Shopper" supplement to the September 18, 1985, News-Gazette (page S-1) to accompany an article headlined "Farmer foresees profits in sunflowers." The caption reads "Dave Schmidt looks out over his sunflower fields last week. The Ivesdale area farmer says the sunflowers provide an alternative to corn and soybean crops and are an enjoyable plant to raise. The sunflowers are about 6 to 7 feet high and are still growing."
