Endangered Beauty [Explored]

Female monarch butterfly depositing eggs on a milkweed plant in my pollinator garden. I watched her as she moved from plant to plant and leaf to leaf, depositing an egg at each stop. Because monarch caterpillars feed exclusively on milkweed several years ago I began planting milkweed and butterfly weed, and each year I add more milkweed plants to the pollinator garden. Now that monarchs are endangered I will continue to add more and more of these vital host plants to help save these magnificent creatures. Backyard photography.
