Homestead

I know that I am guilty of this from time to time, taking a photo of something historical and moving on without really understanding its past or anything about the people who lived there.
I had previously visited this barn built by Thomas Alma Moulton and the other famous barn built by his brother John and did exactly that - snapped away and moved on. This year I wanted to better understand who it was that homesteaded here and why, and learn a little more about the life they led. I am so glad I did for now I have a better understanding of how harsh their lives were. Now this scene has a much deeper and more spiritual meaning to me.
