Flooring 3
Use thin basswood for flooring strips.
To calculate size I measured my own floorboards - they were 4 inches. To get MSD size I just divided by 4 to get 1" I really lucked out!
Also, take into consideration the size of your basswood strip, you want to have as little waste as possible. I had approximately 1/8" waste on each side that I put aside. It will make good lollipop sticks or something later!
Cut with really sharp exacto knife into strips. I did this freehand just following the lines I made with my ruler because I wanted them a bit wonky and rustic. For precision - use a straight edge to cut and go slowly :)
