This building was originally built in 1897 as a department store and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. From 1898 through the late 1930s the store was "Arendt's Emporium.” The grandfather of the present owner purchased the building in the late 1930s and moved his grocery store into it. The present antique store was established in 1996. In 2002 the building had a major structural renovation, including a new front and anchoring.
