Sunset birds under a painter's sky

Cloud study abstracts - an occasional series

The location was on the west facing escarpment known locally as Lincoln Edge, in the cathedral city of Lincoln. The viewpoint gives a clear view of west Lincolnshire and the Nottinghamshire plain. I was capturing the sunset when I noticed a flock of seagulls flying home to their roost.
