Even though it sure wasn't hot out, NS train 17M (Linwood, NC to Elkhart, IN, manifest) has just been told by the Toledo West Dispatcher to stop and make a set and release of his air brakes, since he has a few axles that are "trending hot" on defect detectors. Seen here passing under the NYC era signal bridge in downtown Waterloo, Indiana on NS' ex-LS&MS/NYC/PC/CR Chicago Line.
NS SD60M 6786 that is riding second out was originally CR 5539 built by EMD for Conrail in March of 1993.
