Gear, September 2013
One camera, one lens, one function kits. I put together each one with a specific purpose in mind so they don't overlap much. These are weekend gear I use for more serious shooting. For snapshots I use the 3 daily setups here:

1. 28mm 2.8 OM Zuiko on Olympus OM1n, Kodak Tri-X film - events & street B&W
I love the 28mm look and I find the Zuiko has a moody feel that I like. I used to shoot a 28mm Elmarit + M for this focal length but this kit is actually slightly lighter. Plus it looks really handsome with its hood.
2. 35mm 3.5 Summaron on Leica MP, Kodak T-Max / PJ400 - events & street colour
The Summaron has great colours that almost approach the M9 look. It makes my MP lighter and hence more portable, so I am inclined to take it out more. I used to shoot an Elmarit 28mm on the MP but I sold it off and used part of the money to buy...
3. 85mm 2.8 CZJ Biometar on Pentacon Six TL, Fuji Pro 400H - portraits
Ever since I saw a photo of someone using this camera I have always wanted it. Feel of equipment is important to me, it puts me in the right frame of mind. It's a basic camera, IQ is not as good as the Rolleiflex I had before but so what, I enjoy shooting with the Pentacon more than I did with the Rollei.
4. 135mm 3.5 CZJ Sonnar on Canon Elan 7, Kodak Portra 160 - portraits
I love Zeiss lenses for their clarity of colour and that 3D pop, and I have found that the pop happens more frequently with this Sonnar. It's also much lighter and smaller than my 85mm 1.4 CY Planar, and balances better on the Elan body, so I have taken to using this instead of the 85mm, which is also a brilliant lens.
