Aurlandsfjord
This is a classic, popular fjord view from the mountaintop, more specifically, from the Stegastein viewpoint. The viewpoint itself is an interesting architectural piece, with a slanted glass front at the end of a protruding platform that may be vertigo inducing. To reach here, we drove through one of the highest mountain passes in Norway, the Aurlandsfjellet, another National Tourist Route, also known as the Snow Road. You can see snow here throughout the year, hence the name. It's narrow, to put it mildly, as all Norwegian mountain roads are. There are little turnouts to let two cars pass each other. Cars going uphill have the right of way, so if you're driving down a steep slope, you may have to put the car in reverse and go up until there is enough space for the other car to pass. Not desirable, especially with manual transmission.
There are two versions I am posting: color and b&w. Would like to hear which works better for you. Thanks for any feedback!
