Deze foto is gemaakt in Utrecht.
In het centrum van Utrecht is een half jaar lang een grote plastic walvis te bekijken.
Dit kunstwerk is gemaakt van zwerfafval dat uit oceanen is aangespoeld, zoals flessen, jerrycans en gedumpte apparaten.
De sculptuur in de vorm van een vinvis is eerder deze week opgebouwd in de Catharijnesingel voor muziekcentrum TivoliVredenburg.
Hier komen elke dag zo’n 38 duizend mensen langs.
De constructie is elf meter hoog, negen meter breed en vijf ton zwaar en daarmee net een echte walvis.
De bedoeling is om hiermee de schijnwerper te zetten op het probleem van de plastic soep in zee.....

This artwork is made from litter that has been washed up from oceans, such as bottles, jerry cans and dumped devices.
The sculpture in the shape of a whale was built earlier this week in the Catharijnesingel for the TivoliVredenburg music center.
Around 38,000 people come here every day.
The construction is eleven meters high, nine meters wide and five tons heavy, making it a real whale.
The intention is to put the spotlight on the problem of plastic soup in the sea .....
