FMcslides1442 5056 and 5062 Crewe
The 8th of April 1972 and the Wirral Railway Circle's Cambrian Coast Express is seen at Crewe Station. The lead loco is Class24 D5056 about to set off for Pwllheli, the inside loco should be D5062. The slide came as D5080 as the other loco but that replaced D5056 which failed on the outward journey.
D5056 was new from Crewe Works to March in December 1959 and withdrawn as 24056 in October 1975. Cutting up was at Swindon Works in October 1976.
D5062 was new to March in January 1960 and became 24062 under tops. Withdrawl was in October 1975 and cutting up at Swindon in October 1976.
