Though I lived in Plymouth just after the Western's were wihdrawn it was always very hit and miss as to how locos at the front of the shed were positioned. This was obviously a good day....
Part of the Tom Derrington Collection with once agan the original photographer not known.
'Western Hussar' and 'Western Nobleman' hold the position of the last condemned 52s to be scrapped by BR (06/79, 07/79), their withdrawal dates 6/10/76 and 24/01/77 respectively.
