Mini Tunnel Arch

A seven-minute walk northwest from the Devil's Garden Trailhead takes us to a fork on the trail. From there, an additional one-minute walk leads to the Tunnel Arch. This window is high above the viewpoint from which we see it and the exit is higher than the entrance which we see here. We are now looking to the southwest.

Tunnel Arch has above and to the left of its main entrance a Mini-Me Tunnel, at center in this picture.

Arches National Park is located about 4 miles (6 km) north of Moab, Utah. The geology and climate of the region have produced here a variety of extraordinary landforms, arches being the most obvious and best known. The forces which created these land features continue at work here, slowly eroding and destroying features as they continue to create new ones. I visited this place on June 4, 2019, after visiting it the previous day.
