The throaty exhaust note certainly sounded fine as it thundered up the hill towards the Towngate terminus that was used on one of the routes operated.
8534 is seen being piloted around the hilly terminal by Mr Fairchild, who coped well to say the D N R buttons were missing from the dashboard! 😜
