Driesh in Sight

We're now about halfway between the summits of Mayar and Driesh, with Driesh visible in the distance. Those with eagle eyes may spot 2 people at its summit, to give some sense of scale, but between us is the very steep rocky climb to then reach the gentler upper slopes of Driesh. The sun may be out again, but it's mighty windy up here and it's a constant battle against the wind as it blows us sideways.

After a trip back up to Aberdeen for meetings at the office, I stayed a little longer to climb Mayar and Driesh. Mayar stands at 928 meters (3044 feet) and is my 29th Munro, and gives me the 10% of Munro's bagged I have always wanted. Driesh, at 947 meters (3106 feet), is my 30th Munro and the 2nd of the two I climbed this day.
