Puffing Billy

Beamish Museum is located in County Durham in the North East of England. It is not a traditional museum but is a collection of buildings collected from across the region which are filled with objects illustrating the region's history. Areas include 1940s Farm, Railway Station, 1900s Pit Village and Colliery, 1900s Town, 1820s Pockerley Old Hall and Landscape and 1820s Pockerley Waggonway. This shot was taken at Pockerley Waggonway where they were running the Puffing Billy. The engine was running backwards with one of the waggonway men sitting in the coal wagon. I used Lightroom for post processing. Whilst I live in Yorkshire now I spent most of my life in County Durham.
