Double Track Legacy

KCS ES44AC #4777 leads CP 380 into Adeline on the D&I. As evident by the bridge foundations in the foreground, this line was double-track during the days of joint UP-MILW passenger traffic and even had CTC up until the late 1960s. Before EHH, CP even had a plan to reestablish all of the above, but was annulled after the railroad started to tear itself to pieces.
