Battle of Broken Hill
This wagon marks the site where two Turkish sympathisers attacked a picnic train just leaving Broken Hill bound for Silverton on Jan 1st 1915. A total of 6 were killed (including the attackers) and 7 wounded. These were the only hostilities on Australian soil during WW1.
