DC Figbarf - CAPE PAULDRONS

Cape Pauldrons!? Cape Pauldrons!! CAPE PAULDRONS!!! (I hate it when people use 3 exclamation marks but I just did so... yeah.)

 

Anyways, I made some DC figs, Bruce Wayne was supposed to be with Moon Knight and another character I'm saving for until I get the right pieces. I could've made a Justice League but that's dumb because I didn't want to force myself to make a GL, Superman, a Batman, and a Flash when the officials or my own customs I've shown before are good enough. (RIP Flash helmet. Some day I'll buy another one.) So, I'll save those members for something special.

 

Green Arrow - The first addition to Bruce Wayne, I was so impressed by the pauldron I made for Moon Knight, I knew I had to try it here. In using my Moon Knight pauldron as a template, I cut a side on accident. So Moon Knight has a new, smaller pauldron and so does everyone else! I really quite like this figure. I also had an Olive(r) Green variant... That's for another time. (Once they release an olive green hood.)

 

Wonder Woman - My second to last creation. Wow, was I stunned. I planned to add something extra to my New 52 WW but I found this torso and make a red pauldron. It covers the yellow very nicely. So, I'm very happy with how this turned out. She looks astounding. Shout out to Kaiju Dan who told me to stick with the dress/skirt as I was going to leave it be with white pants. Glad he told me other wise. I think she's the most original of the group and overall my favorite. I have another bad ass variant for her. Stay tuned for some other time.

 

Bruce Wayne - My Batman is pretty to the point and I like it that way. I had no intentions of making a permanent Bruce for myself but once I made this, I was happy. The face is a normal clone/storm trooper face that you could hopefully find easily. I believe they're fairly cheap on BL. I just erased the cheekbones. (Damn those cheekbones!) The suitcase was just a nod to his character in the 2008 LEGO Batman game. Although unnecessary, TtGames knew what you wanted even if you didn't know it yourself. :P

 

John Jones - Kaiju Dan bugged me to put in a MM fig, alas I still need to buy a MM. I was pretty happy with what I could come up with. It gave me a lot of ideas for my MM once I get him. (Yes it could involve pauldrons.) But for now, he's mid-transformation into Martian Manhunter. So take this as a tease if anything.

 

Aquaman - The King of the Seven Seas! I really hated the official figure. But the torso was gold. He was really easy to make. I almost skipped him to give you a Superman but thank goodness I didn't. This is the olive green pauldron intended for an Olive(r) Green GA Variant. But I guess not now. Unless I want to take it off or make another one. (I've ruined enough capes for today. :P) I was proud with his turnout and sadly don't have too much to say.

 

Finally, I am not showing ANY MOCs at BrickCon this year. The $75 is a bit ridiculous when other events let you join for free. But I will be attending. To find me, I'll probably be trying to get myself some 2006-2007 Batman or some more Superheroes for other MOCs. I'll also probably be willing to talk to people because you know, I'm not too anti-social. (If all I type doesn't say that enough.)

 

AND I AM ANNOUNCING I WILL BE AT BFVA. (kidding)

 

Captain America will be back swinging his mighty shield soon enough. Just have to tear down my MOCs. :P
