"Wednesday Morning Winter Snow Squall"
The high temperature on Tuesday was 50 degrees F, but by early morning Wednesday a fast-moving winter snow squall, caused the temperature to plummet 22 degrees F.
According to local meteorologists, wind speeds were 47 mph at Midway Airport and 45 mph at O'Hare Airport.
Motorists were advised to pull off the roads due to whiteout conditions in some areas. Our town had only 1.3 inches of snow, most of which blew away during the later part of the day.
