Maxi Icarus' DIY Balsa Nose Block
Rather than ordering a clear 5" tube for the BT-60, I improvised one using a florescent light bulb plastic guard. It's a little bigger than the BT-60, but some electrical tape fixed up the nose cone's fit. I modified the guard's end cap using scrap balsa, CA glue, and a large safety pin to create my own balsa nose block. To improve the security of the payload section, I used 3 screws (about the size used for eyeglasses) to hold the clear payload section to the nose block.
