This week on the Missabe: cloudless mornings
After a couple days with highs in the 60s yesterday topped out in the mid 80s with no clouds until sunset and today and tomorrow look like more of the same. I'm starting to push towards higher effort (real meaning: more gasoline) as the end is nigh for C40s on CN and now it sounds as though the rest of the captive fleet up here may be reassigned. It's not known yet when the -9AC invasion will start or how long it will take but the number now slated to get straight air (Orinoco retainer system) is officially shocking. The first are in Fort Worth and talk from deep inside the beast just gets worse....for railfans.
I know y'all are hitting MRL hard right now and even I'll be going out late next month but we will be absolutely inundated out here with all you guys next year betcha.
Anywho the train: U789 is rounding the bend off the DM&N and onto the D&IR at North Biwabik
