St. Pauls - Valletta
St. Paul's Cathedral, situated close to the harbour front in Valletta, Malta, is an Anglican cathedral in what is mainly a Roman Catholic area. It was founded by Queen Adelaide of England, who was the widow of king William IV and Queen Victoria's aunt. Queen Adelaide laid the foundation stone in 1839, and the building was completed in 1844.
The cathedral is located on the site of the Auberge d'Allegmagne, which was the base of the German Knights Hospitaller, an ancient order of Crusader knights.
