CHINESE PORCELAIN LIDDED VASE
Chinese porcelain lidded vase of inverted baluster form, decorated in underglaze blue . The lid containing a model of a "Foo Dog"
There are two sides decorated with the "cracked ice" Prunus pattern with the trunk of the tree nicely detailed with a single bird perched on a branch. The flowers heads are also well detailed.
On opposite sides of the jar are two framed scenes with figures standing on a bridge and also pushing a handcart.
The foot is stepped and the base is glazed with a hand painted apocryphal mark Kangxi Nian Zhi.
Date: Qing Dynasty Kangxi Revival Period, Guangxu 1875-1908.
