Hibiscus Probe - Color version
This is the color version of the previous post in my photostream. The lighting is a little bit different because I was playing around with the position of the lights in attempt to get a "dramatic" look. I'm actually not sure if it's possible to get a dramatic look to a hibiscus picture. Bigger looks better, here, and you can see it that way if you press "L".
Strobist info: One Sb600 with a grid to light the "probe" and a SB700 in a softbox camera right for fill light. The strobes were triggered by the pop up flash on my D90 in commander mode.
Other plants and flowers that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. In the description, I list resources that I've used to learn how to light with off camera flash. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/...
