Threlkeld Quarry

A Teutonic trio at Threlkeld on Saturday 28th July 2018. The loco on the left side of the picture is one of only 3 Krauss locos in the UK (at least as far as I am aware!) and is "Sragi No.1", an 0-4-2T built in 1899 (works number 4045). Adjacent is "Max", also known as "Sragi No.14", an Orenstein & Koppel 0-6-0WT, works number 10750 of 1923. They both worked at the Sragi sugar mill on Java. They are both now resident at the Statfold Barn Railway. The third of the trio, on the right hand side, is another O&K. This worked in Torrelavega, Spain, at the Solvay and Cie Alkali Works. It was brought to the UK in 1963 and now lives at the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway Society. It is works number 5834 from 1912 and is now named "P. C. Allen".
