John works the corner of Wisconsin and M Street.

I have known him now for three years.

I often slip him a five or ten.

He mentioned a terrible illness, I hope to get more money.

He hasn't mentioned it lately, as I hope he has decided not to lie to me.

I gave him a twenty this day and asked that he remove the silly stuff he wears to attract attention.

I hope he was lying.
