Separatist AAM K5TRL.82 "Kestrel" Light Utility Helicopter (ONSLAUGHT Assault Package)
The ONSLAUGHT Assault Package was a weapons system that was interchangeable among most AAM helos. OAP consisted of two Charleston York bunker busting hard target missiles, six air-to-air Dresden missiles, and two chainguns. Helos equipped with OAP often worked in hunter/killer teams with other helos or flew as infantry support.
Based a time-tested airframe design, the Kestrel Light Utility Helicopter made by Allied Armorers Manufacturing was well loved by the soldiers who relied on this bird for extraction, supplies, etc.
The K5TRL Kestrel was operated by a pilot and copilot, but could carry five additional Separatist soldiers into and out of battle. Kestrels also performed CASEVAC duties and carried small amounts of munitions and supplies between forts. They featured a light grade composite armor and their three large rotor blades made them surprisingly agile. They weren't particularly fast, but were revered for being incredibly reliable. Not unlike the revolutionary 20th century Bell UH-1 Iroquois, the Kestrels' influence remains today.
The K5TRL.82 variant was the heavier armored upgrade of the .52 and .61 versions. .82's also featured an upgraded GPS and targeting systems, as well as other classified advanced avionics.
