Focal length: 40.0mm

The settings are appropriate for this style of photography because the social issue I chose was teenagers use of technology. My photograph was of a girl texting as the same time as she was supposed to be studying. This is similar to portrait photography so I used an f stop of 9.0. The ISO was 400 because I wanted to eliminate camera shake but still keep quality.

 

I chose this social issue because it is something I see on a daily basis. Most teenagers don't even realize what they are doing, but when they see it happening it is really annoying to everyone. We all need to learn to put away our phones and have a conversation face to face, not just through our phones.
