London - Mind your head 01

This is the site of the scaffold where the majority of beheadings on Tower Hill, London took place. Although a few victims were beheaded in the confines of the "Tower of London" itself (Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard and possibly Lady Jane Grey and William Hastings) with few witnesses, most were held here about 200 yards north of the main gate to "The Tower".
