Handheld_Base

So some more of my experimentation with perspective correction. This pano of an office block in Liverpool was shot hand held. I haven't gone for anything too pretty here. I processed this pano from JPEG's and it is a great example of why you should not do this (sky falling apart).

The first image shows the pano as detected by Autopano Giga. The second image shows the perspective corrected finished product after a few NIK filters were applid.

I am impressed with how square the building is considering how sloppy I was with the hand held shooting. I have yet to process a version where the building is leaning. I will do that tomorrow.

Still for 20 seconds shooting, its not a bad finished product and has good resolution and sharpness even though it has been warped significantly.

The power of software perspective correction as applied through an advanced panoramic stitching software.
