1983 Boston Marathon, Bill Rodgers.
Digging through negatives, I found a few images of the 1983 Boston Marathon. I must have been at the marathon to see it, rather than 'shoot it'. The camera was new to me. I had bought a Canon AE-1 on sale for $199 at Lechmere either that year, or the year before in 1982. I had no clue what I was doing, was lucky to have film in the camera. The images of the leaders Greg Meyer and Joan Benoit Samuelson were waaaaay out of focus. The only salvageable images were this of Bill Rodgers, and a distant image of Allison Roe...
