ISRRRRRRRR 4040

The main reason for the revisit to Alabama was to shoot the pair of ISRR GP40's that were both in the shops in Panama City on my last visit and are also slated for rebuild and repaint later this year or was the plan as of recently. I knew 4041 was on the Chatt job our of Dothan as the east leader but the 4040 had vanished to the C&I and hadn't been seen in a while. After chasing the Chatt job back west the day before I made a trip back to Hilton to see if I could track down the 4040. Well upon arriving into Hilton the 4040 had shown up after I left and tied down south of town for the night.

The original plan for this day was to chase the 4041 east on the Chatt job and then chase the 3018 back west. When I arrived to the yard in Dothan that morning the crew had put the TPW 3830 in the lead running long hood forward so I jetted the 15 minutes over to Hilton to try and catch these guys going to work. As I pulled into town the C&I crew had just showed up and quickly put their train together to take south to the Georgia Pacific plant a few miles south of Hilton. Here the 4040 is notching up and heading south for GP after quickly building their train.
