Congo Print - 2nd Year FMP
This is the first of four prints I created for my second year Final Major Project. Each of them is based on some of the poorest countries in the world, and the patterns and collage used correspond to this. The project started with me researching poverty throughout in different countries, and seeing which were most affected by it. After I had chosen 4 final countries, I then start creating non-digital patterns using different techniques, materials and methods. As the concept progressed and evolved, it became more digital based and eventually came to be a set of prints. Finally, I printed the designs onto iPhone covers to show how they could be used as merchandise and raise money for charities. These prints were presented at the end of year exhibition, as well as the promotional material I created, and a Prezi presentation I made showing the background of the project.
