Timing

I went out this weekend to catch (L) trains being diverted to the lower level of Broadway Junction (Jamaica Line, (J)/(Z) trains) and to ride the seldom-used trackage connecting the Jamaica and Canarsie Lines. I was lucky enough to catch trains arriving and departing at the same time on my first attempt (i.e. I rode to Atlantic Ave on the train immediately before this).
