US Gun Murder Rate vs. Gun Ownership

There is no significant correlation between the firearm ownership rate of a US state and the rate of firearm murders in that state.

 

This is somewhat to be expected in light of the graphs that failed to demonstrate a correlation between firearm ownership and overall murder rate in the states:
