Logging
Strip mining is not the only thing destroying the scenic mountains of Eastern Kentucky. Logging has become a major problem over the past few years. Both of my pictures were taken on top of Perkins Madden. One of the pictures is of a hillside that is in the process of being logged. The other picture is of a bunch of logs gathered on the ground beside of a bulldozer. You can also see the mess that logging has caused on this land.
