Roof box RTL

On Sunday 25th November 2012 Trafalgar Square saw a remarkable number of historic buses running in service. The regular 'heritage' RMs on services 9 and 15 were supplemented by lots of other buses. In addition route 24 was celebrating its 100th birthday and also the fact that Metroline were now running it again - so many heritage buses were running on that service too. Here RTL 453 (Leyland engined, and unusually carrying a 'roofbox' body), owned by Ensign, is seen about to depart Charing Cross at the commencement of its trip on the 9, having just arrived as a 15. Rare 'Cravens' RT1499 is sneaking up behind!
