The last oil-lit stations

To the best of my knowledge Kempston Hardwick and Stewartby stations on the Marston Vale line were the last to be lit by oil-lamps. These pictures were taken in March 1979. This is Stewartby, with the enormous brickworks still in full swing. I think that's ice you can see on the platform - it was bitterly cold.
