RT 1
On Sat & Sun 11th & 12th September 2010 there was a special event at the RAF museum, Hendon, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The museum was linked to Mill Hill Broadway and Colindale stations by genuine wartime buses - RTs 8 & 113 of 1940 and STL 441 of 1934.
RT1 was also there, but only for show, not in service. This was the first of about 7000 buses delivered between 1939 and 1954. The last wasn't withdrawn until 1979.
