Red-shouldered Hawk

Its not all that often you can get close to a raptor, so when this Red-shouldered Hawk let me get close, I took full advantage of the time together. He went on hunting and returning to the same perch after each unsuccessful try. By the time he came back with a catch the light had disappeared, but I was still delighted by the opportunity.
