The turn around in the fortunes of Wrightbus, since the lows of 2019, has been quite remarkable and it’s clear that it’s now the dominant force in electric double-deckers at least.
In London, it’s almost become a standard bus now where battery-electric double-decker buses are specified although its single-decker version hasn’t quite replicated the success. From the large fleet within Metroline, here is WDE3121 (LK74TKE). It sports the new front for these buses, apparently designed to reduce passenger injuries in collisions. Although it does nothing for a design already challenged in the looks department.
