First Glasgow (T/A First Lanarkshire) Alexander Dennis Enviro 200MMC

A pointless diversion....

Thanks to all the silly ‘spaces for people’ bollards in the town, buses from parts of Lanarkshire that come through the city centre can no longer access Buchanan Bus Station from George Square as the roads that cover the east and west sides of the square have been closed. The west side closure seems particularly odd as it’s also necessitated the relocation of the city tour buses, so that a nearby pub can use the road instead as a beer garden....only in Glasgow....

Anyway here we see 67063 (SN65ZFB) approaching the bus station from the other direction after a rather unnecessarily long convoluted diversion through the city centre. Branded up for the 240 service that it’s on, these buses are being slowly repainted in the new livery style. They were some of the earliest branded buses and initially wore the branding on their olympia livery.
